The Double Degree Programme (DDP) with French Grandes Écoles provides the opportunities to learn from the best of both worlds, exposure to foreign cultures, networking with Singaporeans and foreigners, and proficiency in a third language. Each year up to 30 of our best students will be exposed to the best of the French education system in Engineering and Science - the “Grandes Écoles”.

| The selection process is based on academic merit and on the motivation and maturity of the students to thrive in France . They will spend the first two years in NUS, then leave for their “Grande École” in France for two more years, before returning to NUS to complete their Master’s degree at NUS ( Table on Double Degree Programme Structure ).
Students will be conferred the Bachelor of Engineering degree with appropriate honors classification after two years of studies in France . At the end of their graduate studies, they will receive a M.Eng. from NUS as well as the prestigious Diplôme d’Ingénieur.
Existing students of the Double Degree Programme (DDP) returning to NUS to pursue their Master of Engineering Programme are to apply with NUS.

Students are admitted twice a year to the NUS Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) programme.
If you intend to commence your Master’s programme in:

your application form for admission to the M.Eng. programme, the closing date for receipt of applications is 15 May of the preceding year
|
| August - |
your application form for admission to the M.Eng. programme, the closing date for receipt of applications is 15 December of the preceding year |
For an example, if you intend to pursue your Master’s in NUS in August 2009, the deadline for receipt of your application to the Graduate Studies Office, Faculty of Engineering would be 15 December 2008. |

| Scholarships |
| |
| Bond-free
NUS Research Scholarships are available to outstanding candidates.
The Scholarships are tenable for 1 year in the first instance and are renewable annually, subject to satisfactory progress. The maximum period of award is 2 years for Master's candidates.
Each Scholarship carries a monthly stipend of S$1,500 and a full research fee subsidy (i.e. research fees are paid). The Scholarship does not include travel or other allowances. |
